Refreshing Your Ministry

Refreshing Your Ministry

10-12 October 2023
High Leigh Conference Centre, Herts

These gatherings include teaching input, Bible studies and worship, space for prayer plus valuable down-time with colleagues away from regular responsibilities. They are for serving URC Ministers and CRCWs, and also include Synod-appointed Local Leaders, and retired ministers who are in pastoral charge.

Main Speakers

Rev. Anne Calver

Be Unleashed

Anne is a leader, author and speaker. She is pioneering ‘Unleashed;’ primarily a movement of family seeking to be like the Acts Church, moving with the Spirit to rescue and release many to be true disciples who make disciples through new expressions of ministry. Married to Gavin, she has two children; Amelie and Daniel.

Rev. Eddie Boon

Be Discipled

Eddie is the Synod Discipleship Enabler for the URC’s Thames North Synod and works to encourage ‘Whole life Christian Discipleship’. He runs Disciples Everyday, a forward-thinking digital community that seeks to encourage Christian discipleship in our contemporary life and culture.

Rachel Hickson

Be Prophetic

Rachel is the Founding Director of Heartcry, a ministry which helps local churches with training in the areas of prayer and the prophetic. Rachel experienced remarkable healing following a car crash at age 24. She has a widely recognised ministry using words of knowledge and is much valued as a preacher and evangelist.

Past Impressions…

Good worship, good teaching, I met with God, was strengthened and encouraged, was a wonderful opportunity to meet up with old friends and make some new ones and had plenty of takeaways to reflect on which will inform my ministry going forward.
– Trevor H

I appreciated the opportunity to network with like-minded, Spirit-filled URC ministers. I was struck by their faith and faithfulness and their love for both the gospel and our denomination.
– Matt R

‘Refreshing Your Ministry’ did what it said on the tin, giving a chance to be refreshed in a worshipful and prayerful setting, to step back from day-to-day ministerial duties and be reminded of what ordained ministry is really about.
