The work of prayer is a vital aspect of life in God's Kingdom. GEAR helps facilitate prayer for our denomination through several ministries:
National Network of Intercessors
People who have committed to intercede for the URC and kept informed by email updates providing specific areas for prayer. If you are interested in becoming part of this prayer network, please contact Diane Farquhar with your own or a friend's e-mail address.
Power Points
A printed prayer diary that is distributed within the "In GEAR" magazine, with prayer requests either for GEAR or for ministries and work within the wider URC. "Power Points" is compiled by Catey Morrison, and any items for inclusion need to reach her by May 12th, please, for the Summer edition (July - October period). A copy of the current edition may be obtained by contacting them.

Local Churches
Trinity Gosforth URC-Meth LEP (Revd David Bedford) re-open their re-shaped premises this week, and begin their Church in Community project with the commissioning of Mary Bellshaw on March 12th - please pray.
Evangelism And Renewal Advocates
Please pray for ERA's Sally and Andrew Willett as they continue this ministry. Pray especially for:
- Good contacts with churches and for establishing new opportunities, and building on old ones, especially in connection with the Ignite initiative.
- Wisdom in responding to invitations to participate in national URC tasks, that they may know the right rhythm of working with local churches and national ministries.
- Their family life, that absences due to travel will be balenced with time and space for one another.
- Both of them to know the Lord's anointing and pleasure in this work.
